The little wonders of our surroundings are often overlooked, especially when we find ourselves in a new environment.
I decided on one of my days off to just go ahead and explore. Because it seemed to me like we would always take the car for going places. Because I found that I didn’t know the area closest to me. Because it felt good to just be on my own and see what I can find.
Just imagine the cherry blossom trees in spring or the multitude of colours in autumn!
My adventure came to a stop a few moments later, when the sky decided it was a good time to empty its clouds – all at once, of course, reminding me that I had neither umbrella nor raincoat with me – which made the way back to the Torchbearers Center a bit hurried and, most of all, wet. Still, I encourage everyone to grab a camera and try to find little treasures in your surroundings. God is able to put a smile on your face very unexpectedly, and moments like the ones from my own adventure are totally worth feeling a bit lost at times – you will always get back safely with God on your side.
